What’s For Dinner?

We nearly always consider, or at least we should, what effect our meals have on our bodies, but do we also consider how our meals affect the environment?  It’s interesting that the two are so nearly related.  You knew you should limit your consumption of red meat out of concern for your health, but did you also know that “a pound of beef takes 15 pounds of grain and 15,000 pounds of fresh water to produce?”  You knew that pesticides are potentially dangerous to your physical health, but did you also know that they are harmful to our soil and eventually leak into our water?  This article from Bridging The Gap, offers some very tangible changes you can make in pursuit of a healthier you and a healther Earth.
